Valcre’s Response to COVID-19

Written by Valcre | Mar 24, 2020 11:06:00 AM

As more and more people across the country are being impacted by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), we want our customers, employees, and communities to know that during this very difficult time, Valcre is prepared and are taking steps to ensure we’ll continue to be there for you to meet your business needs.

Delivering for our customers is at the core of what we do. That means providing the reliable service you count on, in good times, and even more importantly, in challenging times. In keeping this commitment, your safety and the safety of our team will always be our top priority.

Here are just a few of the steps we are taking:

  • We are actively monitoring the latest recommendations from local, state, and federal agencies and health organizations to coordinate responses and keep our team safe.
  • We have assurance the Valcre’s products and services are fully operational and supported to ensure customer care support and others continue delivering the reliable service you expect.
  • To reduce the potential spread of illness, we have travel restrictions in place for employees, and are asking our employees to work from home.

Given how quickly the Covid-19 situation is evolving, we expect our policies and responses to continue to evolve as well. We will update this blog if any significant changes develop.

We are strongly focused on the health and safety of our team members and everyone in the global communities we are honored to serve. Our thoughts and hearts go out to all of you indirectly and directly affected by COVID-19 during this challenging time.

Inspections Guidance

We applaud the Appraisal Standards Board (ASB) newest Q&A guidance that states USPAP does not require an interior inspection unless necessary to produce credible assignment results. In such a case as it is a health or emergency condition, the appraiser may make an extraordinary assumption. Please refer to USPAP Standards Rule 1-2, Standards Rule 2-2, and Advisory Opinion 2 for further guidance. For the full guidance info please see this link to the full Appraisal Standards Q&As.
